Bahnisha Sengupta was born in Bangladesh and graduated in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. She came to Aotearoa with her husband at the end of 2014 to pursue her post graduate studies, and is now a busy mother of a one-year-old while managing ‘work from home’.

She trained as a facilitator with Tangata Tiriti and has assisted with Treaty workshops. She is now a committee member for Tangata Tiriti and has worked contributed to the Easy Read book about the Treaty of Waitangi.

She has translated Te Tiriti resources into Bengali for all Bengali speakers in Aotearoa.
