Saw Khon Hmine was born in Myanmar (formerly Burma) and studied Physics at university. He was a refugee who settled in Aotearoa in 2010. He is a qualified translator with Decypher Interpreting and Translation and has interpreted Treaty workshops for his community.
Saw completed facilitator training with Tangata Tiriti and assisted with workshops at Rauawaawa Kaumātua Trust and Hui Te Rangiora marae.
He has translated Te Tiriti resources, and the full Tangata Tiriti workshop into his native language, Burmese, for Burmese people throughout Aotearoa.
